About Lighting Trade Association

"Lighting Trade Association" (non-profit organization) was founded by several biggest Russian trade firms and Russian Lighting Research Institute (VNISI) in April 1999 in order to establish civilized form of cooperation between all Russian lighting market participants.

LTA is permanently growing, covering new regions of Russia. LTA is developing many directions, such as: developing cooperation with biggest lighting manufactures in Russia and abroad;quality control for lighting products on russian market; supporting lighting collages, participation in international lighting exhibition;cooperation with European lighting community.

For over 11 years its objectives have been:

From 9 to 12 November 2010 in Moscow in the bounds of Interlight 2010 there has passed the competition "Russian lighting Design - 2010», organized annually by VNISI (Russian Lighting Research Institute named after Vavilov S.I., OST-West Partners and Russian Designers Association. Undoubtedly, the competition for the best lighting design has already become a tradition of Moscow Interlight exhibitions.

Meeting of the jury «Russian lighting Design - 2010» has taken place on November, 9th at the competition stand. The jury headed by the Chairman that traditionally is the President of the  Professional Lighting Design Association (PLDA) – from this year, this post is hold by Georgios Paissidis – have specified winners in all categories of the competition.

Prize-winning places have been allocated as follows:

In the category, "the best architectural lighting design company" won "the work" Svetoservis architectural lights "Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich Palace in MGOMZ (Kolomenskoye)”.

In the nomination "Best design of street lighting" won a joint project of the Saint Petersburg companies GUP "Lensvet", “Time Systems” Ltd and "AMIRA" company «Outdoor lighting system on the basis of electro control device with the power control block. Application on the object "Rimsky-Korsakov Street”.

The best sports lighting design project was selected as the project «Svetoservis» "Lighting of specialized volleyball sports complex "Amber" in Kaliningrad”.

Company "Tochka Opory" with the project «the Museum and modern art Galleries «Erarta» became the winner in a nomination« Design of indoor lighting

The winner in a nomination «the Best design of the luminous device» became the project «Architectural lanterns on the prospectus Chernyshevsky» groups of the companies of SPb of State Unitary Enterprise "Lensvet" and Open Company "ArhiMet ALEX".

The opening of this year was the nomination "the work of students of design schools and educational institutions.

III place in the nomination was awarded the project students MGHPA of S.G. Stroganov Natalia Baranova, Fugol Nadezhda and Natalia Ivanova «System of illumination of a road outcome and a pedestrian crossing»

2nd place the project of the self-contained luminous device "ellipses Halo" has taken the student of not State educational institution «National Institute of Design» Ivan Butovich.

The most interesting and bright student's project - System of illumination of highways and railway stations «Green light», developed by student MGHPA of S.G.Stroganov Anna Khitrova became the winner of the competition in this nomination.

Judges have especially noticed uniqueness of the project that the light-emitting diode lantern supplies from the wind turbine allowing it to work on night, at the energy accumulated in nickel accumulators.

All participants of the competition have received diplomas, and winners in the nomination «Works of students of design schools and educational institutions» have received monetary prizes from organizers of competition. In addition, for the second year the Lighting Trade Association presents the student winners of cash prizes.
